A Look Into Lumi’s Efforts
Our mission here at Lumi is to promote healthy, glowing skin while making every effort to keep you educated and empowered within the skin space. Skin Cancer Awareness month is here, and we are making efforts to increase our knowledge, promote safe sun practices, and offer opportunities for you to contribute along with us.
Taking care of our loved ones currently navigating the process of cancer treatment is another extremely important part of our mission as a business, as well as being compassionate friends and family members. We want to extend our empathy for the hardships treatment brings by offering a treatment-safe facial for our loved ones who are *oh so* deserving of a self-care moment.
Here is how we are contributing, and what you can do to contribute alongside us!
Our Contributions
Rain or shine, summer or winter, we remain dedicated to skin cancer awareness! Our efforts extend beyond the month of May in several ways, one being various donations!
During the Month of May, we are so excited and proud to announce that for every gift card purchased, we will match 25% of the final sales with a donation to the Skin Cancer Foundation!
This is a beautiful chance for you to support small while making a big difference to create a brighter future for all. The Skin Cancer Foundation is an organization that has made huge leaps in skin cancer education and research since ‘79. Making donations helps fund their education initiatives and supports their lifesaving programs.
Louisville Hats for Hope is another organization we have been so thrilled to support, whose goal is to advance cancer research by holding a Derby fashion show. Money raised from ticket sales and raffles goes towards clinical trial research and provides support for patients at UofL Health. Donations to local treatment centers from us as well as clients is another avenue we take to support skin cancer awareness.
